Executive Summary
A US animal study has shown that the pulsed magnetic energy instrument, Sofpulse, marketed by ADM Tronics, helps to revascularise soft tissue after surgery. The device already has FDA approval for treating pain and oedema in soft tissue injuries. The work suggests it could also be used to improve the quality of healing following plastic surgery, says the Northvale, New Jersey based company, which bought the technology from Electropharmacology in 1998.
