The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention will likely issue a solicitation on Jan. 30 for proposals regarding contracts for inactivated flu vaccine bulk concentrations for the 2006/2007 flu season. Contracts would cover responsibilities including production of between 5 mil. and 10 mil. doses and storage for six months. An option for pooling, filling, packaging, labeling testing and delivery of the vaccines will also be part of bid packages. The procurement is part of the agency's National Immunization Program. |
