Executive Summary

Bill that would require the state Commissioner of Environmental Protection to adopt regulations to decrease the volume of solid waste generated in the state passes the House April 22 140-0. The measure, HB 5835, was amended to eliminate a requirement that the Commissioner provide a progress report to the legislature on the Environmental Protections Agency's implementation of the bill. The legislation must clear the Senate by May 5 to be enacted
