Executive Summary

Recently launched hair care line includes Botanika Cleanse Black Walnut Highlighting Shampoo, Lemon Blossom Highlighting Shampoo and Red Clover Highlighting Shampoo. Black Walnut Highlighting Shampoo contains extracts from walnut hulls and black walnuts, as well as vegetable protein to "enliven sensuously deep tones in brown or black hair," the company noted. Red Clover Shampoo, which contains rosemary and henna in addition to red clover, is formulated to "protect fiery brilliance in red hair" Lemon Blossom Highlighting Shampoo uses chamomile and lemon blossoms to "revive brilliant highlights in blonde hair," according to Garden Botanika. The shampoos are packaged in 12 oz. bottles that retail for $7.50 each. Garden Botanika hair care line, which was introduced to its 54 stores Sept. 15 ("The Rose Sheet" Sept. 5, p. 8), includes the Botanika Cleanse shampoos, Botanika Condition products and Botanika Style "finishers" ("The Rose Sheet" Sept. 5, p. 8)
