GIVENCHY ANTI-DIVERSION LEGAL EFFORT EXPANDED to protect the Ysatis and the Amarige fragrances from copyright infringement by a group of 12 retailers, according to a complaint filed by Parfums Givenchy Nov. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. On the heels of its success in the copyright infringement suit against Drug Emporium regarding the distribution of the Amarige fragrance, Givenchy is pursuing charges of copyright infringement of its Amarige and Ysatis fragrances against Kmart, Sears Roebuck, Wal-Mart, Marshall's, Loehmann's, Drug Emporium, Prestige Fragrance & Cosmetics, Perfumania, Magnifique Parfumes and Cosmetics, Carolyn's Colognes and Perfume Land.
