WARNER-LAMBERT URGES FDA TO CONVENE A WORKING GROUP ON ALCOHOL IN MOUTHWASHES comprised of industry and academic representatives to investigate whether further safety testing of alcohol- containing mouthwashes is necessary. Addressing the OTC Plaque Products Subcommittee of FDA's Dental Products Panel on Dec. 5, Warner-Lambert President-Consumer Products R&D Surinder Kumar, PhD, urged FDA "to schedule a working session with appropriate industry and academics to explore any additional testing that may be needed."
