SENATE PRODUCT LIABILITY BILL LACKING "FDA DEFENSE" will be considered by the Senate Commerce/consumer affairs subcommittee in "about a month," bill co-sponsor Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) predicted at a March 15 Capitol Hill press conference announcing the introduction of S 565. The subcommittee is chaired by Sen. Slade Gorton (R-WA) and the full Commerce Committee by Sen. Larry Pressler (R-SD), both of whom are original co-sponsors.
