Described as a "sportive fresh aromatic," the Polo Sport men's scent and skin fitness products debuted in Ralph Lauren's Polo Sport store in New York City Dec. 1, 1993, and rolled out to department and specialty stores in February 1994 ("The Rose Sheet" Nov. 1, 1993, p. 2). Polo Sport is the second offshoot of the 15 year-old Polo brand, following the 1991 introduction of Polo Crest.
