ICMAD must become "proactive force" in industry -- ICMAD President Kalish.

This article was originally published in The Rose Sheet

Executive Summary

ICMAD MUST BECOME "PROACTIVE FORCE" IN COSMETICS INDUSTRY, incoming ICMAD President Marva Kalish said at the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors' annual meeting June 28 in New York City. "Too often," Kalish explained, small business entrepreneurs "find [themselves] reacting to circumstances, and...feel vulnerable, sometimes misinformed, and even worse...helpless." ICMAD will "clearly define" issues confronting all phases of the cosmetics and fragrance industry and "devise strategies to pursue a productive course of action," Kalish said. Kalish, president of Woods of Windsor (USA), succeeded Flori Roberts as ICMAD president on July 1.
