Alexandra de Markoff: Pompano Beach, FL-based Parlux Fragrances acquires Revlon's Alexandra de Markoff cosmetics and fragrance brand for an undisclosed amount in cash and Parlux stock under a definitive agreement announced by the two companies on Sept. 21. The de Markoff line -- sold in 500 doors including Neiman Marcus and Dillard's -- generated between $15 and $20 mil. in wholesale revenues last year, Parlux says. Parlux Chairman and CEO Ilia Lekach called the de Markoff acquisition "a major step toward meeting [the company's] objectives" given that "expansion into cosmetics is integral to Parlux' global strategy."
