Voluntary Cosmetics Reporting Program: FDA to publish an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) recommending either the elimination or "significant" modification of the VCRP in the Federal Register in February or March, according to the agency. In November, FDA Office of Cosmetics and Colors Acting Director John Bailey told attendees of the CTFA Scientific Conference that the VCRP annual report card will be eliminated due in part to budget cuts ("The Rose Sheet" Nov. 13, p. 1). FDA's Cosmetic Adverse Reaction Monitoring Program, however, remains a high priority and will be funded, even "at the expense of other" projects, FDA noted...
