ALLOU FRAGRANCE AND COSMETICS SALES TOTAL $87.5 MIL. FOR FY 1996, representing 32% of the company's overall revenue, Allou Health & Beauty Care reported in a 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission June 28. Sales for the segment grew approximately 15% from the year before. As a percent of overall sales, however, the fragrance and cosmetics business did not experience any growth over fiscal year 1995. Within the segment, prestige designer fragrance sales rose 12% in FY 1996 (ended March 31), due to an "increase in same store sales and an expanded consumer base," according to Allou.
