H&BA RECALLS FOR 1996 TOTAL EIGHT: seven of the recalls, covering skin care products, color cosmetics, colognes, a hair care product and a toothpaste, were reported in FDA's weekly Enforcement Reports. Four of the cases were Class II recalls (may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences) linked to contamination and three cases were Class III recalls (no adverse health effects likely) due to labeling issues. The eighth recall involved the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
