Executive Summary

New York sunscreen labeling bill: S 1568 and A 4494 introduced into the state Senate and Assembly in January. The two bills require that sunscreen manufactures include an expiration date and "information regarding recommended storage" on labeling. Similar legislation was introduced in 1996 in each house and while the Assembly bill was passed, the Senate version never left the Rules committee. S 1568 is sponsored by Sen.
