P&G v. Tristar settlement: Tristar to change Everscent High Performance deodorant labeling and packaging following out-of-court settlement of a Nov. 14 trademark infringement lawsuit, Procter & Gamble announced March 4. San Antonio-based Tristar will drop the "High Performance" reference from its product label and repackage the deodorant in a white container with red and silver highlights. Previously, the deodorant was marketed in solid red packaging with blue accents, P&G said. Tristar will also pay P&G undisclosed monetary damages. P&G filed suit against Tristar in Cincinnati federal court charging that the Everscent product infringed the design and patent for P&G's Old Spice High Endurance deodorant ("The Rose Sheet" Nov. 16, 1996, In Brief)...
