Executive Summary

H&R Florasynth: Merging fine fragrance business into its Creations Aromatiques subsidiary under the leadership of President Brian Schmalz, effective July 1, H&R Florasynth announced April 8. As part of the restructuring, H&R Florasynth will assume responsibility for Creations Aromatiques' remaining fragrance and flavors businesses. Schmalz will report to newly appointed H&R Florasynth President and CEO Klaus Birckenstaedt. Former H&R Florasynth VP/General Manager of Fragrances Michael Waldock will now be responsible for the formation of a new Global Strategic Initiatives Group that will explore new concepts, technologies and opportunities for fragrance development. The restructuring follows Haarman & Reimer's merger with Florasynth, which took place earlier this year.
