The female teen fragrance market is a "relatively untapped" business for the company, Renaissance said, noting that previous introductions, such as Ambush, which bowed in 1996, and Dreams by Tabu (1995), were targeted to 19- to 29-year-old women. As with its past fragrance launches, the company will preview the fruity, floral fragrance in August with a .33 oz. trial size for $5.95.

ModiFace launches forecasting tool: Toronto-based virtual makeover firm introduces ShadeCast, a makeup sampling and forecasting tool based on behavioral tracking. ShadeCast is used in conjunction with iPhone application MakeUp, which allows consumers to virtually try on makeup in hundreds of shades from brands including Revlon, Cover Girl, Lancome and Clinique. ShadeCast offers 1,000 cosmetic shades from 40 brands and assigns a ShadeScore "to approximately position the [app's] hottest and most sampled color."
