The Thierry Mugler designer fragrances registered a 59% increase for the first half, based on constant exchange rates, the Paris-based company said. Clarins' perfume business, which performed well through the six months in the face of "depressed market conditions," generated 21.9% of overall sales for the cosmetics company. U.S. dollars are calculated based on an Aug. 5 exchange rate of $1 = FFr 6.3465.
