CARSON PRODUCTS 1997 SALES JUMP 41% TO $109.6 MIL., PACED BY CUTEX, LET'S JAM brands, as well as sales from the company's South African subsidiary, Carson Holdings, the company reported Feb. 23. For the fourth quarter, sales rose 49.9% to $31.8 mil. Net income for the 12 months grew to $1.7 mil., compared to a loss of $6 mil. in 1996. For the fourth quarter, the company had a net loss of $2.8 mil. versus a loss of $1.9 mil. a year ago.
