Skin Caviar Cellular Luxe Cream combines sea, phytotherapy and bioengineering technologies, the firm claims. The caviar-based firming complex uses seaweed protein to stimulate collagen, caviar extract to nourish and energize, polyglucuronic acid and algae extract to firm and alpha hydroxy acid to smooth and re-texturize skin. The company will launch the product, along with a Skin Caviar Firming Mask and a reformulated version of its Extrait of Skin Caviar, at the end of August in 280 specialty store doors, including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale's. A 1.7 oz. Luxe Cream will retail for $300. The firming mask consists of two parts - - a .35 fl oz. serum and a 1 oz. mask -- and sells for $125. ModiFace launches forecasting tool: Toronto-based virtual makeover firm introduces ShadeCast, a makeup sampling and forecasting tool based on behavioral tracking. ShadeCast is used in conjunction with iPhone application MakeUp, which allows consumers to virtually try on makeup in hundreds of shades from brands including Revlon, Cover Girl, Lancome and Clinique. ShadeCast offers 1,000 cosmetic shades from 40 brands and assigns a ShadeScore "to approximately position the [app's] hottest and most sampled color." ModiFace exec Nikkie Gatto likens the app to radio music playlists, helping consumers "looking to capture the current look, but also provide vital market intelligence to our retail channel partners," she says in Nov. 3 release.
