Angel parfum collection will be extended in July with "lightly fragranced" Celestial Body Exfoliant -- $38 for 6.8 oz. -- and Delicious Hand Cream -- $40 for 6.8 oz. The body exfoliant, which "transforms from a gel to a mousse when applied to skin," works to "remove dead cells, tone, refine and smooth," according to the Clarins division. Delicious Hand Cream provides "instant softness and comfort," the company said. The products will be housed in light blue tubes bearing the designer's signature star. Existing ancillary Angel SKUs -- Celestial Shower Gel and Celestial Body Lotion -- will be repackaged to match. Another Mugler innovation, Angel eau de toilette bottles can now be refilled wherever the fragrance is sold at a significant savings compared to the cost of a new bottle. ModiFace launches forecasting tool: Toronto-based virtual makeover firm introduces ShadeCast, a makeup sampling and forecasting tool based on behavioral tracking. ShadeCast is used in conjunction with iPhone application MakeUp, which allows consumers to virtually try on makeup in hundreds of shades from brands including Revlon, Cover Girl, Lancome and Clinique. ShadeCast offers 1,000 cosmetic shades from 40 brands and assigns a ShadeScore "to approximately position the [app's] hottest and most sampled color." ModiFace exec Nikkie Gatto likens the app to radio music playlists, helping consumers "looking to capture the current look, but also provide vital market intelligence to our retail channel partners," she says in Nov. 3 release.
