With Microsoft Network of On-line Services under a multi- year agreement for on-line advertising and marketing announced by the companies July 1. Unilever will advertise on Microsoft Web sites, and both companies will work together to "investigate and develop new approaches to advertising on-line." The deal represents "one of the biggest long-term investments made by a major consumer advertiser on the Web," Microsoft said.
