Color Me Beautiful stepping up production of Flori Roberts, Iman prestige ethnic brands.

This article was originally published in The Rose Sheet

Executive Summary

COLOR ME BEAUTIFUL ENTERS ETHNIC PRESTIGE MARKET WITH FLORI ROBERTS acquisition, as well as the purchase of Patti LaBelle and Iman from IVX Biosciences (Ivax). Under the deal announced July 14, Chantilly, Va.-based Color Me Beautiful will assume ownership and operations for the ethnic skin care, cosmetics and fragrance brands. The deal represents a logical fit for Color Me Beautiful because it broadens the firm's presence into the ethnic arena within its established line of distribution. Color Me Beautiful cosmetics generate 80% of company sales in the same department store doors as the former IVX brands. The brands are distributed in approximately 18 department store chains, including J.C. Penney and Carson Pirie Scott, as well as May Company and Federated stores.
