Eric Thoreux named president Coty U.S. and regional manager of North American operations, Coty announced Oct. 8. He succeeds Jean-Andre Rougeot, who will continue his responsibilities as Coty U.S. CEO and Coty Division President. Rougeot assumed the role as U.S. president on an interim basis in March 1997 following Jerry Abernathy's retirement. Thoreux previously served as Coty Division senior VP-strategic development and had a leadership position in Coty's Germany operations.
