Executive Summary
Agency updating handbook with additional, more accessible information in an easier-to-read style, including references to the new OTC labeling and sunscreen monographs. The revised handbook, which may be released as early as next year, marks the first time the manual has been updated in approximately 15 years. FDA discussed possible changes to the handbook with the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors May 20. The manual is available on FDA's Web site (www.fda.gov); ICMAD hopes the book also will be offered in an electronic form such as CD-ROM or DVD disc
