Executive Summary
Updated CIR Compendium, a collection of the expert panel's safety reviews over the past 23 years, is now available. The 1999 Compendium contains safety assessments on 798 ingredients, reviewed through December 1998, with information on 132 new ingredients. Summaries on 317 ingredients and one report have not yet been published in the scientific literature. The book can be purchased for $300 ($180 for CTFA members) through CIR or the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association
