Executive Summary

Italian perfume and cosmetics company Boidi acquired by specialty beauty chain. Headquartered in Turin, Italy, Boidi generated revenues of approximately $16.6 mil. in 1999 (32 bil. Lira), according to the company. The deal, which includes 19 retail boutiques, will strengthen Sephora's position in the Italian market, LVMH says. The Boidi acquisition comes on the heels of the LVMH purchase of Laguna, another Italian perfumes and cosmetics distribution chain
