Clarins

This article was originally published in The Rose Sheet

Executive Summary

Montana fragrance brand sold to Diana de Silva Cosmetiques as part of a "rationalization" of both companies' product portfolios, Clarins announces Feb. 28. The company acquired the Claude Montana designer fragrance brand in 1995 as part of the Parfac Group purchase, which also included Loris Azzaro fragrances. The transaction will permit "renewed emphasis of the development of the Montana brand," Clarins says. A new fragrance, Montana Blu, will bow shortly in all Clarins markets except the U.S. The only Montana scent distributed stateside, Just Me, bowed in conjunction with Sephora's Rockefeller Center opening in October
