Sunscreen use on infants

Use of minimal amounts of sunscreen on children under six months of age is safe when "adequate clothing and shade are not available," the American Academy of Pediatrics said. The policy statement, published in the August edition of Pediatrics, reverses the academy's earlier advice not to use sunscreens on infants under six months.
