Net sales jump 17.9% to $11.7 bil. (FF 83.1 bil.) in 2000 with cosmetics sales up 31.4% in North America and 5.2% in Western Europe, firm reports Jan. 24. Largest geographic growth expansion occurred in other markets, where sales increased 33.4%. Parisian company also benefited from positive structural impact of 2.1% due to consolidation of acquisitions in 2000, particularly in the second half of the year when firm acquired Carson, Kiehl's and Matrix Essentials
