Jean-Paul Agon to L'Oreal USA President and CEO effective Oct. 1, Parisian firm announces. Agon succeeds Guy Peyrelongue, who is retiring after 15 years at the helm. Agon has worked as managing director of firm's Asia zone since 1997 and has held numerous positions throughout Europe and Asia. L'Oreal announced succession plan in February (1"The Rose Sheet" Feb. 26, p. 10). Peyrelongue will be honored by the Fragrance Foundation Nov. 5 at its annual Circle of Champions tribute, honoring an individual who has made a "notable and newsworthy impact on the industry"
