Cover Girl

First licensing deal is for manufacture of eyewear frames and sunglasses under an agreement with South Easton, Mass.-based Marine Optical announced March 16. Under the deal, Marine Optical will manufacture and sell the Cover Girl eyewear line in North America and several international markets. Eight to 10 optical styles are slated to roll out in the summer, with 15 to 20 sunglass designs set to follow in 2001. The eyewear will be in keeping with Cover Girl's "fun and fashionable" brand image and frame colors will bear the names of some of the makeup line's most popular shades, P&G says
