Line will be developed in collaboration with makeup artist Stephane Marais and will be sold through its own boutique in Paris. News follows announcement that Shiseido has discontinued global operations of its 5S cosmetics line. Firm previously announced it would halt U.S. distribution of the brand (1"The Rose Sheet" Oct. 15, p. 5). Consolidated company sales for the first half sales were flat at $2.4 bil., Shiseido announced. Firm also reported a $120.8 mil. net loss for the six months due to amortization of inventories compared to a loss of $452.5 mil. in the prior year period...
