Japanese-based Kao is expanding its U.S. hair care portfolio with addition of salon brand KMS, company announces Feb. 8. With sales of $43.6 mil. (€1=$.87), KMS (Redding, Calif.) will operate under Kao's Darmstadt, Germany-based Goldwell professional hair care group, which generated sales of $237.4 mil. in 2001, Kao says.
