Himmel Hair Care licenses marketing rights for Breck hair care products in U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia from Dial. New unit within The Himmel Group plans to revitalize Breck, which currently generates sales of under $5 mil. and only is marketed in Mexico. Brand has "withstood the test of time and has a rich heritage," Himmel says. Line originally launched in 1930 and is known for its "Breck Girls" spokesmodels, which have included Brooke Shields, Cheryl Tiegs, Cybill Shepherd, Jaclyn Smith, Christie Brinkley and Kim Basinger. Dial purchased Breck in 1991 but decided to license marketing rights to Himmel as part of its recent focus on core brands.
