Patrick Firmenich to take the helm of privately-owned flavors and fragrance supplier effective July 1, representing the fourth generation of the Firmenich family to control the company. Exec will succeed his uncle, Pierre-Yves Firmenich, who has served as CEO since 1989. Patrick Firmenich began working for the company in 1990. In 1993, he was appointed VP-fine fragrances and in 1997 became responsible for fine fragrance worldwide and president of the Firmenich affiliate in Paris, the Geneva company says.
