CABOODLES TEEN-TARGETED COSMETIC AND SKIN CARE COLLECTION capitalizes on the "100% brand recognition" of the Caboodles name among teenage consumers, according to Platinum Cosmetics (New Westminster, British Columbia). Platinum, a start-up company formed to manufacture and distribute Caboodles cosmetics, is licensing the name from Illinois-based Plano Molding Company. Plano Molding has marketed teen-targeted Caboodles cosmetic organizers since 1987; the brightly colored plastic organizers are available in about 15,000 mass market doors, according to the company. Caboodles cosmetics will debut in 12,000 mass market stores in the U.S. and Canada in spring 1999; a European launch likely will follow.
