Estee Lauder suit

Former Rodan + Fields and Darphin exec Shashi Batra is instructed to comply with non-compete clause of his Estee Lauder contract under preliminary injunction issued by New York City federal court. Batra, who became NV Perricone Worldwide General Manager March 13, filed a lawsuit alleging the non-compete clause was illegal in California, where he was based during his time at Lauder. Duration was reduced from its original twelve months by the court. Batra was tapped general manager of R+F in 2004 and in 2005 added Darphin to his responsibilities (1"The Rose Sheet" May 9, 2005, In Brief). Lauder purchased French pharmacy company Darphin and dermatologist skin care firm R+F in 2003 (2"The Rose Sheet" Jan. 20, 2003, p. 4 and 3"The Rose Sheet" July 21, 2003, p. 9)...
