Executive Summary
National Toxicology Program to review lead and lead compounds for listing in "11th Report on Carcinogens" at an NTP Board of Scientific Counselors RoC subcommittee meeting Oct. 14-15 in Washington, D.C. agency announces in Aug. 8 Federal Register 1notice. Lead and lead compounds, which are used in some traditional cosmetics, are among seven substances nominated for peer review during the meeting. NTP will provide opportunity for public comment on each of the chemicals at that time, agency notes.
