Executive Summary
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality board scheduled to vote Jan. 28 on proposal to eliminate state regulations for volatile organic compound emissions from consumer products in favor of federal standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency. EPA, Consumer Specialty Products Association submitted comments in favor of the change, which the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association also endorses. Reg would simplify the regulatory process and eliminate duplicate rules, agency says.
