Dove body wash ad campaign

Unilever is turning to women everywhere in a search for ads to support the launch of its new Dove Cream Oil Body Wash. Contestants can submit their 30-second TV spots online at the AOL-hosted site 1www.DoveCreamOil.com. Entries will be accepted through Jan. 15, with the winning ad premiering in a commercial break during the Feb. 25 Academy Awards, Unilever says. The firm launched its "Campaign for Real Beauty" in 2004 (2"The Rose Sheet" Nov. 1, 2004, p. 5). Designed to challenge public notions of beauty, the campaign grew in 2005 to promote Dove Firming products (3"The Rose Sheet" May 23, 2005, p. 4).
