FDA fills top attorney post

Executive Summary

Former Department of Justice attorney Sheldon Bradshaw will serve as the new FDA Chief Counsel, effective April 18. The agency announced Bradshaw would replace Dan Troy, who joined Sidley Austin Brown & Wood in January, on April 4. Bradshaw has worked at the DoJ Civil Rights Division, where he was the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General. Before that, he was Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the DoJ Office of Legal Counsel. Gerald Masoudi, who joined FDA's Office of Chief Counsel as Deputy Chief Counsel in November, has temporarily filled the position since Troy's resignation (1"The Rose Sheet" Nov. 22, 2004, p. 8).
