B&P Company is pursuing multi-channel distribution for Frownies Immune Perfect anti-aging skin care treatment, including department stores, natural food stores and spas, the Dayton, Ohio-based company said. The 115 year-old firm expects Immune Perfect will appeal to natural products consumers, as it is "nature-derived," and contains no added fragrance or color, B&P said. In addition, spa patrons will be attracted to its "excellent restorative treatment" abilities, which can be used to soothe skin following services like chemical peels or microdermabrasion, B&P claims. Immune Perfect is touted as the first "biologically-active facial skin treatment with a fully active delivery system," according to B&P. The gel-cream formula contains an advanced delivery system that "works like a firewall for skin cells by continually hydrating and strengthening them both internally and externally," the company said, explaining the product acts "as a barrier against damaging free radicals caused by ultraviolet radiation, environmental pollutants and cosmetic treatments." The treatment is formulated with biologically-active forms of aloe and melanin, which help to protect the skin by absorbing UV rays and neutralizing free radicals formed by ultraviolet light, the firm claims. Immune Perfect also contains vitamin E and 17 amino acids to prevent oxidation of the skin and the formation of free radicals, the company added. The anti-aging gel-cream is rolling out now, following a "soft launch" last fall that targeted the spa and golf industries, as well as existing Frownies customers, the firm said. Immune Perfect retails for $65, and joins the brand's existing anti-aging skin care items, which include Frownies pH Balancing Complexion Wash and Immune Shield. B&P will promote the launch of Immune Perfect with an "aggressive" print and television ad campaign, the company said, noting it has spent approximately $300,000 on ad support to date. Immune Perfect is expected to generate first-year sales of $1.5 mil., the firm said. B&P anticipates consumers who use its trademark Frowniesfacial pads will purchase the new product. Frownies facial pads currently generate annual sales of approximately $3 mil., the company noted. |
