Unilever is recalling Dove SkinVitalizer, a hand-held vibrating facial cleansing massager, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announces Feb. 28. According to CPSC, "The cleansing pillows on this device can loosen or dislodge during use and then the SkinVitalizer can cause minor scratches to skin." Unilever has received 33 reports of cleansing pillows falling off and nine reports of consumers who have experienced scratching, commission notes. Recall affects 438,000 units, approximately 50,000 of which have been purchased by consumers, CPSC says.
