Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep report will gain wider recognition in 2007 when the California Safe Cosmetics Act goes into effect, United Natural Products Alliance Executive Director Loren Israelsen asserts during a presentation at Natural Products Expo West tradeshow March 25. According to Israelsen, there will be greater efforts by advocacy groups to direct traffic to 1Skin Deep, an online, "brand-by-brand personal care product safety guide" maintained by Washington, D.C.-based EWG that ranks more than 14,400 products, searchable by brand name, type and "relative concern."
