Executive Summary
National Advertising Review Council President and CEO James Guthrie will step down from his position at the end of July, NARC reports April 18, noting it will announce the process for selecting his successor shortly. Guthrie will stay involved in the advertising industry through teaching and related pursuits, agency notes. Under his direction, the advertising industry's self-regulatory body effectively developed new sources of revenue, expanded its staff, launched the Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program, produced a white paper for the food industry and "guided critical initiatives to address issues of advertising to children," NARC says...
