The European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods announces an open call for tender for the center's database service on alternative methods to animal experimentation, specifically "database updating in the field of 'non animal metabolism-mediated/hepatotoxicity testing,'" ECVAM announces May 12. Tasks to be carried out within awarded contract will include "extensive review of the scientific literature to update existing data sheets and/or to compile new ones by using predetermined data entry formats which will be made available as an Internet-based working tool," center says.
