Clinique High Definition Lashes is formulated with ingredients that lengthen and define lashes, while adding "feathery" volume, according to the Estee Lauder division. The lightweight mascara "contains a blend of soft waxes and plant-based, water soluble thickeners, which create beautifully longer, more defined and fuller lashes, without any clumps, spikes or flakes," the firm said. The mascara also contains conditioning agents including sodium hyalauronate, hydrolyzed wheat protein, panthenol and pantethine. A specially designed brush/comb applicator elongates lashes while coating individual lashes with color, the firm claims. High Definition Lashes will retail for $13.50 in three shades - Black, Black/Brown and a limited edition Chocolate Lustre. The mascara is part of Clinique's High Definition fall trend makeup collection, which will debut at Clinique counters in August. The collection also includes four new shades of Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Soft Shimmer: Spruced Up, Posh Squash, Mochaberry and Deco-Dence. Shades retail for $17.50. The fast-drying, non-smudging Brush-On Cream Liner, which debuted for holiday 2005, returns in four shades: Deep Brown, True Black, Black Honey and Smoke Grey with a retail price of $14.50, the company said. Limited edition Blushing Blush Powder Blush, featuring a checkerboard palette, will be available in two shades - Patchwork Pink and Patchwork Peach - priced at $18.50 apiece. Clinique also will introduce a limited edition Defining Lips: Long Last Lipstick Preview Palette, comprising four new pink-berry shades of Clinique's bestselling long-lasting lipstick, for $32. In September, the firm will launch Aromatics Elixir Velvet Sheer ($35),a liquid perfume gel that is an extension of the brand's Aromatics Elixir fragrance line, as well as Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk ($24), a non-foaming cleanser. - Melina Vissat |
