Bath & Body Works surpassed $2.5 bil. in annual sales for 2006, Limited Brands announced in a March 1 earnings call on its Q4 2006 and full-year results. Victoria's Secret went beyond $5 bil. in sales for 2006, as net sales for the company reached $10.67 bil. for the year. Sales at Bath & Body Works increased 14% over the prior-year-period to reach $1.18 bil. Sales for the quarter were driven by the Signature Collection, antibacterial soaps, gift items and seasonal products, firm says. The company plans to open 55 new B&BW stores in 2007, said Martyn Redgrave, executive VP and chief administrative officer of Limited Brands. Sales at Victoria's Secret doors for Q4 2006 increased to $1.86 bil., up 18% compared to the prior-year-period.
