Procter & Gamble: Double-digit growth of P&G's prestige fragrances business was central to fourth-quarter and fiscal 2007 growth, according to an Aug. 3 release. Full-year net beauty sales increased 9% to $23.0 billion, firm says, attributing growth to Boss Selection and Boss Femme fragrance initiatives and the addition of Dolce & Gabbana's The One through a July 2006 licensing deal (1"The Rose Sheet" Dec. 19, 2005, In Brief). High single-digit skin-care growth was driven by Olay Definity and Regenerist, while hair-care sales increased by mid-single-digits on strong performances from Pantene, Head & Shoulders and Herbal Essences, P&G says.
